Services
Individual counselling sessions designed to help you navigate life’s challenges with compassion and understanding.
Who I work with
- I work with adults with a wide range of problems such as anxiety, trauma, depression, loss of loved ones, low self-esteem and relationship issues.
- I have neurodiversity experience both personally and professionally.
- I work with young people in a college setting and have a strong ability to build positive relationships with students aged between 16-19 years old.
When and where sessions are held
I have a therapy room in my family home in Aldington, Ashford, for in-person sessions. I also offer online or telephone sessions or walking sessions outdoors.
Sessions are 50 minutes long and are typically on a weekly basis, but I am flexible to your needs.
For allergy purposes, please note:
I have a cat and a dog. Whilst they are good for emotional support, they are kept out of my therapy room during sessions.
Our first session
The first session we will do an assessment together this is my starting point of getting to know you. Also, in this session we will work together to find out what you would like to focus our attention on. There is some important information that I will share after this for example, it is important for you to feel comfortable to talk freely and openly about your thoughts and feelings so understanding confidentiality in our work together will be important.
How we work together
As an integrative counsellor, I am trained in more than one therapeutic modality, and this training gives me the flexibility to adapt and find a way of working that suits your needs as an individual.
My primary approach is one that fosters awareness of how past experiences shape present thoughts, emotions, and behaviours. Together, we can explore patterns that may have once helped you cope but now feel limiting – or may be influencing you without conscious awareness. When we reflect on your past, we do so through the lens of the present: How do you feel now?
By gaining self-awareness, you become response-able – able to engage with the present moment without being controlled by past experiences. This shift empowers you to make choices that truly serve you, rather than being bound by old patterns.
In addition to traditional talking therapy, we can integrate creative methods into our work. I have therapy cards, which many clients find useful to provide deeper insights and enhance self-discovery.
This is a safe space for everyone regardless of gender, sexuality, background, culture or neurodiversity.
